Keshou
The Keshou were brought to Rosuto-Shima centuries ago, and, during a less enlightened time, were treated as slaves. Though they physically resemble Rosuto-Shimans in body type (they have two arms, two legs, a torso, and similar faces), they seem to have no biological relationship that produces this similarity. The blood, when placed side by side, contains almost no similar features, and the hair is an entirely different texture.

Gaijin say that there are monsters in their lands which resemble the Keshou, but are not so civilized. The broad shoulders and somewhat squat form of the Keshou may well have come from distant lands, long before the gaijin arrived. The Keshou have kept records since before the time of their slavery, and many of these have survived, but these are locked up in Kara Kora, their home city, and have yet to be released to the Chinan University community. That the Keshou have developed their own medicinal facilities and laboratories for biological study is only stating the obvious; their nimble fingers, longer than Rosuto-Shimans, are more adept than any other races at manipulating machinery. Whether this knack for understanding the mechanical is biological or due to environmental and cultural stimuli is unknown.
